Description

CERTAIN TRUCKS EQUIPPED WITH HAULMAX REAR SUSPENSIONS FAIL TO COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 121, "AIR BRAKE SYSTEMS." IT DOES NOT MEET THE REQUIRED STOPPING DISTANCE AS SPECIFIED IN THE REGULATION. THE VEHICLE COULD EXPERIENCE REDUCED BRAKING PERFORMANCE AS A RESULT. IF THIS WARNING IS NOT HEEDED, A VEHICLE CRASH COULD OCCUR.

What you should do

DEALERS WILL RELOCATE THE ANTILOCK BRAKING SYSTEM (ABS) SENSOR FROM THE REAR DRIVE AXLE TO THE FRONT DRIVE AXLE FREE OF CHARGE. THE RECALL BEGAN ON JUNE 15, 2007. OWNERS MAY CONTACT MACK TRUCKS AT 1-800-528-6586.
