Description

Prevost is recalling one model year 2013 H3-45 coach bus manufactured November 14, 2011, through July 3, 2012. In the affected bus, the transmission has the wrong software and may not lock to prevent movement while the wheelchair lift door is open. Thus, this bus fails to conform to the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 403, "Platform Lift Systems for Motor Vehicles." Without the transmission locking to prevent movement, if the parking brake lock fails while the wheelchair lift door is open, the bus may unexpectedly move, increasing the risk of injury.
