Eldorado National-California, Inc. (Eldorado) is recalling certain model year 2008-2009 Axess, E-Z Rider II, XHF, Escort RE-A, and Transmark RE vehicles manufactured April 1, 2008, to December 30, 2008. The mechanical springs used to return the accelerator pedal to idle after the driver lifts their foot off the pedal may break. If the springs break, the pedal may not return to idle once the driver lifts their foot off the pedal. This unintended acceleration increases the risk of a crash.
