Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain model year 2016 Surveyor travel trailers and fifth wheels, models SVT321BHTS, SVT33RETS, SVT32RLTS, SVT33RLTS and SVT32RETS, manufactured April 13, 2015, to October 6, 2015. In the affected vehicles, the power supply wire for the room slide mechanism may have been incorrectly installed such that it doesn't pass through a circuit breaker. Without the power supply wire being properly connected to a circuit breaker, an excessive power draw or electrical short may result in melted wires and an increased risk of a fire.

Forest River will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the vehicles and correct the power supply wire installation if needed. Damaged power supply wires will be replaced as necessary.
