Mack Trucks, Inc. (Mack) is recalling certain model year 2016-2017 Granite (GU) and TerraPro (MRU) trucks manufactured from November 9, 2015, through January 19, 2016. The affected trucks may be missing a roll pin to secure the upper steering yoke to the steering shaft. If the roll pin is missing, the steering shaft may disconnect from the yoke, resulting in a complete loss of steering and increasing the risk of a crash.

What you should do
Mack will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the vehicles and replace the steering shaft if the roll pin is missing, free of charge. The recall began on April 1, 2016. Owners may contact Mack customer service at 1-610-709-2131. Mack's recall campaign number for this recall is SC0400.
