Mack Trucks Inc. (Mack) is recalling one 2014 Pinnacle (CXU) vehicle and certain 2018-2019 Mack Anthem (AN) vehicles equipped with air brake supply tanks that have an air volume amount ranging from 70% to 96% of the amount required by the regulation. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 121, "Air Brake Systems." The undersized air brake supply reservoir may provide an insufficient air supply to properly operate the brakes during repetitive brake applications, reducing braking performance and increasing the risk of a crash.
