Autocar, LLC (Autocar) is recalling certain 2016-2019 Xspotter vehicles. Due to the placement of the shift pad, the shift pad may fail, and not display the transmission range or sequence. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 102, "Transmission Shift Lever Sequence/Starter Interlock/Transmission Braking Effect." If the shift pad display fails, the operator will not know the transmission range or sequence information, increasing the risk of a crash or injury.
