Description

PACCAR Incorporated (PACCAR) is recalling certain 2022 Kenworth T440, T470, T800, and W900 vehicles. The starter interrupt may allow the vehicle to start when the transmission is not in PARK. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 102, "Transmission shift position sequence, starter interlock, and transmission braking effect." Starting the vehicle when the transmission is not in PARK may cause unintended vehicle movement, increasing the risk of a crash.
