Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2022 Maverick vehicles. Under certain circumstances, the Antilock Brake System (ABS) module may cause the brake lights to illuminate without the driver applying the brakes. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment." Unintended illumination of the brake lights may confuse other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash.
