The telematics control unit may not transmit the vehicle location information to emergency responders. Emergency response may be delayed without the vehicle location information, increasing the risk of injury.

What you should do
Dealers will update the telematics control unit software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 17, 2023. Owners may contact BMW customer service at 1-800-525-7417.
