Xos, Inc (Xos) is recalling certain 2021-2022 SV05 and 2021 SA01 vehicles. The bolts and brackets connecting the hardware to the electronic parking brake system may come loose, causing the parking brake to fail. Electronic parking brake failure can result in a rollaway if the vehicle is not in park with the manual park brake engaged, increasing the risk of a crash.

What you should do
Dealers will replace the affected hardware and update the vehicle software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 8, 2024. Owners may contact Xos customer service at 1-818-316-1890. Xos's number for this recall is REC 003-23.
