Description

Corp. Micro Bird, Inc. (Micro Bird) is recalling certain 2025-2026 G5e school buses. The transmission interlock may allow the vehicle to be put into gear when the rear emergency door is locked. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 217, "Bus Emergency Exits and Window Retention and Release." An emergency exit that is locked can prevent or delay occupants from exiting the vehicle during an emergency, increasing the risk of injury.
