The entry door position switch may not make adequate contact to read that the door is closed, which allows the steps to deploy unexpectedly. Steps extending while in transit increase the risk of a crash.

What you should do
Dealers will install a ground signal to the door switch circuit, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 29, 2026. Owners may contact Storyteller customer service at 1-888-999-7442.
