ON THE INVOLVED VEHICLES, THE COTTER PIN MAY HAVE BEEN OMITTED AND THE RETAINING NUT IMPROPERLY SECURED. CONSEQUENTLY, THE STEERING LINKAGE COULD DETACH FROM THE PITMAN ARM.
